In this lesson, while learning about the need for increased large-scale collaborative science that is transparent in nature, users also are given a tutorial on using Synapse for facilitating reusable and reproducible research.
This talk covers the differences between applying HED annotation to fMRI datasets versus other neuroimaging practices, and also introduces an analysis pipeline using HED tags.
Following the previous lesson on neuronal structure, this lesson discusses neuronal function, particularly focusing on spike triggering and propogation.
Longitudinal Online Research and Imaging System (LORIS) is a web-based data and project management software for neuroimaging research studies. It is an open source framework for storing and processing behavioural, clinical, neuroimaging and genetic data. LORIS also makes it easy to manage large datasets acquired over time in a longitudinal study, or at different locations in a large multi-site study.
This talk highlights a set of platform technologies, software, and data collections that close and shorten the feedback cycle in research.
This talk covers the Neuroimaging Informatics Tools and Resources Clearinghouse (NITRC), a free one-stop-shop collaboratory for science researchers that need resources such as neuroimaging analysis software, publicly available data sets, or computing power.
In this lecture, attendees will learn how Mutant Mouse Resource and Research Center (MMRRC) archives, cryopreserves, and distributes scientifically valuable genetically engineered mouse strains and mouse ES cell lines for the genetics and biomedical research community.
The lecture provides an overview of the core skills and practical solutions required to practice reproducible research.
In this lesson, you will learn about the Python project Nipype, an open-source, community-developed initiative under the umbrella of NiPy. Nipype provides a uniform interface to existing neuroimaging software and facilitates interaction between these packages within a single workflow.
This lecture introduces you to the basics of the Amazon Web Services public cloud. It covers the fundamentals of cloud computing and goes through both the motivations and processes involved in moving your research computing to the cloud.
This lesson gives an overview of the Brainstorm package for analyzing extracellular electrophysiology, including preprocessing, spike sorting, trial alignment, and spectrotemporal decomposition.
This lesson provides an overview of the CaImAn package, as well as a demonstration of usage with NWB.
This lesson gives an overview of the SpikeInterface package, including demonstration of data loading, preprocessing, spike sorting, and comparison of spike sorters.
In this lesson, users will learn about the NWBWidgets package, including coverage of different data types, and information for building custom widgets within this framework.
This lecture gives an overview of how to prepare and preprocess neuroimaging (EEG/MEG) data for use in TVB.
BioImage Suite is an integrated image analysis software suite developed at Yale University. BioImage Suite has been extensively used at different labs at Yale since about 2001.
EyeWire is a game to map the brain. Players are challenged to map branches of a neuron from one side of a cube to the other in a 3D puzzle. Players scroll through the cube and reconstruct neurons with the help of an artificial intelligence algorithm developed at Seung Lab in Princeton University. EyeWire gameplay advances neuroscience by helping researchers discover how neurons connect to process visual information.
Fibr is an app for quality control of diffusion MRI images from the Healthy Brain Network, a landmark mental health study that is collecting MRI images and other assessment data from 10,000 New York City area children. The purpose of the app is to train a computer algorithm to analyze the Healthy Brain Network dataset. By playing fibr, you are helping to teach the computer which images have sufficiently good quality and which images do not.
This lecture will provide an overview of the INCF Training Suite, a collection of tools that embraces the FAIR principles developed by members of the INCF Community. This will include an overview of TrainingSpace, Neurostars, and KnowledgeSpace.
