This course corresponds to the NIH roundtable discussions at INCF's Neuroinformatics Assembly 2024. The NIH BRAIN Initiative’s early commitment to open data and broad data sharing continues to advance as data sharing mandates expand across U.S. federal funding agencies. Critical questions are coming into focus as researchers, repositories, and funders work together to set expectations, develop best practices, and coordinate how scientific data are shared and connected across domains. This panel brings together each of these critical perspectives from across the BRAIN Initiative data ecosystem. Join us to learn about the current landscape of BRAIN informatics and discuss emerging needs from the community as the scale and complexity of scientific data accelerates.
