A general objective of the Open Science movement is to provide the necessary tools and infrastructure to reduce the friction that slows or impedes the routine application of best scientific practice. In direct response to this need, the CONP is building a framework for the neuroscience community that incorporates best practices for data sharing and reproducibility, featuring standardized dataset descriptions, interoperability with established open data repositories, and reproducible environments for data analysis.
A key part of the CONP framework is the Portal, a web interface through which one can access a wealth of neuroscience datasets and share one’s own data, as well as apply an array of analysis tools and pipelines (either locally or through HPC) to these data, thereby facilitating key facets of open science by simplifying access to and sharing of versioned resources.
