Neurodata Without Borders: Neurophysiology (NWB:N)
Purpose of the collection

The objective of this collection of tutorials is to provide an introduction to neuroscientist interested in converting their neurophysiology data to NWB:N, a unified, extensible, open-source data format for cellular-based neurophysiology data, as well as to present the major tools that are NWB-enabled.

This collection is divided into 2 study tracks: i. Python users and ii. MATLAB users. Each study track has been designed to be both modular and comprehensive. Each level I study track contains 1 non-technical "What is NWB" lecture and 3 different technical introductory lecture which include:

  • Intro to extracellular electrophysiology
  • Intro to optical physiology
  • Intro to intracellular electrophysiology

Study recommendation: It is suggested that users the non-technical "What is NWB" lecture and 1 - 2 of the technical introductory lessons. The advanced write courses have as a prerequisite at least 1 of the language-relevant introductory lectures. The tool break-out sessions are elective and have as prerequisites the appropriate introductory course for that language and modality.
