This lecture presents the Medical Informatics Platform's data federation in epilepsy.
This lecture aims to help researchers, students, and health care professionals understand the place for neuroinformatics in the patient journey using the exemplar of an epilepsy patient.
Explore how to setup an epileptic seizure simulation with the TVB graphical user interface. This lesson will show you how to program the epileptor model in the brain network to simulate a epileptic seizure originating in the hippocampus. It will also show how to upload and view mouse connectivity data, as well as give a short introduction to the python script interface of TVB.
This talk introduces data sharing initiatives in Epilepsy, particularly across Europe.
The epilepsy SP actively promotes and supports epilepsy-related issues as well as educational and scientific activities within the framework of EAN. Our partners ILAE/ILAE Europe, EpiCare, EPNS and AOAN are actively involved. One of the major tasks is promoting submissions of session proposals for EAN congress balancing new scientific approaches and educational need for teaching courses. Outside of congress activities, contributions to e-learning facilities on the EAN website such as registrars reading list, scales and scores and breaking news are regularly presented or updated. Particular since the COVID pandemic, publications on COVID and any issues of epilepsy or seizures are regularly screened and summarized in neurology updates. In partnership with the ILAE/ILAE Europe, several guidelines are under preparation.
This lecture goes into detailed description of how to process workflows in the virtual research environment (VRE), including approaches for standardization, metadata, containerization, and constructing and maintaining scientific pipelines.
This video will document the process of creating a pipeline rule for batch processing on brainlife.
This video will document the process of launching a Jupyter Notebook for group-level analyses directly from brainlife.
This lecture introduces you to the basics of the Amazon Web Services public cloud. It covers the fundamentals of cloud computing and goes through both the motivations and processes involved in moving your research computing to the cloud.
This video gives a brief introduction to Neuro4ML's lessons on neuromorphic computing - the use of specialized hardware which either directly mimics brain function or is inspired by some aspect of the way the brain computes.
In this lesson, you will learn in more detail about neuromorphic computing, that is, non-standard computational architectures that mimic some aspect of the way the brain works.
This video provides a very quick introduction to some of the neuromorphic sensing devices, and how they offer unique, low-power applications.
This lesson presents a simulation software for spatial model neurons and their networks designed primarily for GPUs.
The lecture covers a brief introduction to neuromorphic engineering, some of the neuromorphic networks that the speaker has developed, and their potential applications, particularly in machine learning.
This lecture gives an introduction to the European Academy of Neurology, its recent achievements and ambitions.
This lecture gives an overview on the European Health Dataspace.
The International Brain Initiative (IBI) is a consortium of the world’s major large-scale brain initiatives and other organizations with a vested interest in catalyzing and advancing neuroscience research through international collaboration and knowledge sharing. This workshop introduces the IBI, the efforts of the Data Standards and Sharing Working Group, and keynote lectures on the impact of data standards and sharing on large-scale brain projects, as well as a discussion on prospects and needs for neural data sharing.
Panel of experts discuss the virtues and risks of our digital health data being captured and used by others in the age of Facebook, metadata retention laws, Cambridge Analytica and a rapidly evolving neuroscience. The discussion was moderated by Jon Faine, ABC Radio presenter. The panelists were:
This lecture covers how you can make your data public through EBRAINS. This talk focuses on the ethical considerations for sharing data, the requirements that are imposed by various regulations, particularly for sharing human data. The lecture also includes a discussion of how EBRAINS designs its services to deal with the ethical and regulatory aspects of sharing these kinds of data.
This lecture discusses the challenges of protecting hospital data.
